path vii.

science & wonder

So this is the path for the people who can't take the leap. Same lostness as everyone else — but they can't make themselves believe in anything they can't test. If "just have faith" makes your skin crawl, this one's for you.

Here's the thing: science isn't only a method for building phones and curing diseases. For a lot of people it's where they go for awe. The universe is 13.8 billion years deep, you're made of atoms forged inside dead stars, and somehow you're briefly awake to notice. Sit with that long enough and it does what religion does — makes you feel small, connected, and lucky to be here at all.

The people below mostly weren't trying to comfort anyone. They were trying to understand reality. But understanding reality turns out to be one of the most grounding things there is. Some found something close to the sacred in it. Some just loved the chase. Some are working on how to live a meaningful life with no script at all. If you're lost and you need truth you can actually check — start here.
